The Georgetown University Men's Club Water Polo team was created in 1993 by then student Sam Bakhshandehpour. After he graduated from the University, Sam continued to coach the team until the end of the 2001 season when Jon Erickson and Alumnus Peter Freeman took over the coaching responsibilities. The team is now coached by former players Evan Behr, Matthew Sullivan and Darrell Zlotnick. Over it's fifteen year history the team has won two division championships and has been ranked as high as 12th in the nation among club teams.
