Students Stopping the Trafficking of People

Register for Stop Child Trafficking Now D.C. Walk (Sat., Sept. 26 at 10 am)

Meridian Hill Park, 15th St. NW and W St. NW

Join the HOYA SAXA Team in what will be the largest anti-human trafficking event in D.C. to date. It will coincide with D.C.'s Human Trafficking Awareness Month and will be part of a larger national effort coordinated by an NGO called Stop Child Trafficking Now (www.sctnow.org). We will join other cities including New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Dallas in rallying support, raising awareness, and raising funds for the movement. In addition, this event will bring together the D.C. community, NGOs, local authorities and the media in raising awareness of and combating modern slavery here in D.C.  This is an event for the whole movement! We hope you’ll join us in making it a success.

To join the HOYA SAXA Team, go to: http://sctnow.donordrive.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=donorDrive.team&eventID=556&teamID=5426.  If you are unable to walk but would like to make a donation, simply click on one of the team members.  SSTOP will also be selling fair-trade (slavery-free) chocolate every Friday in Red Square to raise money for the walk, so be sure to drop by!
