Georgetown Squash was founded in the fall of 2006 by Frank Hamilton (Col. '10) to provide an outlet for talented and motivated Georgetown squash players. Our program is based on hard work, comraderie, and a determination to improve. We play a highly competitive schedule against some of the nation's top teams that culminates every year in the National Intercollegiate Championships.
In our first year, the team posted impressive victories against Lafayette, Boston College, and Drexel. We also played GW, Navy (Varsity and JV,) and Colgate. We finished the season with an undefeated run at the National Intercollegiate Championships and won the Emerging Teams Trophy.
In 2007, we have 10 of last year's 12 players returning and will have 6 new members on the team, including three talented freshmen. During the 2007-2008 campaign we will play against Navy, UVa, Washington and Lee, GW, and several others. Any experienced Georgetown players or potential future Hoyas should contact Frank Hamilton at (203) 215-9844 if interested in playing or talking more about the program. Hoya Saxa!
