The Georgetown Men's Lacrosse Club was founded in 1991 in order to provide undergraduate men at the school with an opportunity to continue playing lacrosse in college.
The GU Club Lax team participates in the National College Lacrosse League (NCLL) and is a member of the Chesapeake Conference. Other members of the conference include: University of Maryland, Johns Hopkins, George Washington, George Mason, the Naval Academy, and American University.
Each year the team plays many of the best programs in the area and in past seasons has played teams such as Towson, Virginia, Loyola, Delaware, Penn State, Princeton, Ohio State, and even the Irish National Team.
