March 16, 2011
As everyone is surely already aware, on Friday, March 11th, a magnitude 9.0 earthquake struck northern Japan, and was followed minutes later by a devastating tsunami. In light of the continuing crisis, the board members have devoted much time and thought to the ways in which can best address the situation and provide assistant to all those in need. In addition, we have been in constant communication with other D.C. schools through the Japanese-American Student Union of DC (JASU) to maximize our aid efforts. Please browse through the following events and fundraisers to find out ways you can contribute to crisis relief as you feel most comfortable.
More relief-related activities are in the works and will be announced throughout the week; please keep an eye out for future announcements from the Network highlighting more ways you can give hope.
Sincerely,
The Japan Network Board.
