How YOU can get involved...
Three Ways to Help:
1. DONATE
2. DANCE
3. STAFF
What is Hoyathon?
Hoyathon is a 24-hour dance marathon that raises money for Georgetown Pediatrics and Children's National Medical Center. Last year we raised over $41,000 and we're looking to beat that amount this year! Teams are made up of four dancers, but you only need at least one person dancing at all times throughout the event. This year, Hoyathon will be from February 20, 2009 at 6 pm to February 21, 2009 at 6 pm. Please note that Hoyathon is also a registered 501 (c)(3) non-profit so all donations are tax deductible.
Who are Hoyathon’s beneficiaries?
Children's National Medical Center
Children's National Medical Center in Washington DC, a Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, is the largest non-governmental provider of care in the District of Columbia and the only health system in the region dedicated exclusively to the health care of children. In 2007, Children’s is ranked as the 11th best pediatric institution in the country. In 2001, Children's provided $25.4 million in uncompensated, charity care. Children's offers a wide range of services from offering regular doctors visits and health education, to curing cancer and healing heart problems. Georgetown University Hospital Pediatrics
Georgetown University Hospital is consistently ranked among the best hospitals in the nation. Only through community support can Georgetown University Hospital continue to provide world-class patient care, medical education and research. Hoyathon's contribution will support the department of pediatrics in their endeavors to keep the children of Washington, DC as healthy as possible through a special mobile medical van that drives around the city providing health care to local children.
