Welcome! GU Melody is a volunteer organization. Every Friday we go to the Anthony Bowen YMCA near Howard U and we teach the after-school students how to play musical instruments. Some of the instruments we play include: * piano * violin * guitar * drums * voice * xylophone * trumpet, but are open to including others. Beyond simply teaching the kids how to play music, we also befriend each of our students, and sometimes act as mentors to them. At the end of each semester, we conclude with a concert where our students showcase the semester's hard work!
