Meet the 2009 Officer's Board of CDA


Regent

Lauren Funk is a Senior in the School of Foreign Service, majoring in International Politics & International Development.  Her other academic interests include Catholic theology, the Natural Law, political philosophy, Catholic social teaching, French literature, and Arabic.  Her favorite saint is Teresa of Avila, and her favorite feast day is Pentecost.  A former Employee of Saxbys, she is an avid coffee drinker and connoisseur.

 

Vice-Regent

Katelyn Jones is a Junior in the College, majoring in Government and minoring in Spanish.  When she is not busy doing homework, she enjoys blogging about femininity, practicing Bikram Yoga, baking and eating cake, and singing in choir at Holy Trinity. Lent is her favorite Liturgical season.  She enjoys burberry, cashmere, and all things classy.


Secretary

Allison Masserano is a Sophomore in the College studying Theology and Psychology. She finds the Catholic Daughters to be a great community of support for her on campus. She hails from the [boogiedown] Bronx, NY, and when she is home, she loves getting manicures and pedicures.  At Georgetown, she enjoys hanging out with her friends, watching Grey’s Anatomy, and playing games. Her favorite feast day is the Annunciation. ?

Maria Fernandez is a Senior in the School of Foreign Service. Maria studied her junior year in the London School of Economics (LSE) where she was the Liturgical Chair in the LSE Catholic Society. This past summer she worked in the Office of Economic Development with the Governor of Puerto Rico. She is also involved in right to life as the service chair.  She likes loud music, loud conversations, and loud colors.

Spiritual Advisor

Anne-Elisabeth Giuliani serves as a Chaplain-in-Residence in Copley Hall.  Originally from France, she came to the US in 1990.  She received her spiritual formation at the Studium of Notre Dame de Vie in France and has degrees in medicine and linguistics. At Georgetown, after doctoral studies in American History, she has held numerous adjunct teaching positions, fostered inter-religious dialogue, and led a variety of pastoral and liturgical programs.  She has a special devotion to St. Therese of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face and continues to develop and promote scholarship on the great Carmelite Saints. One of her finest talents is finding ways to squeeze more than 24 hours into each day.
