Georgetown University Cycling Team

Team News  (updated 2/14/08 2:00 pm)

-- The 2008 Road Racing season begins on February 16 at North Carolina State University.  The schedule for the whole season can be found in the documents section of the website, or here.  Please note that this document was updated on 12/22 with the date and location for Road Nationals which were recently confirmed for May 9th-11th in Fort Collins, CO (CSU).

--  The 2007-8 Team Sponsorship Prospectus has been added to the documents section of the team website.  If you are interested in supporting the team for the upcoming race season, contact Alex Siegel.  While it is too late to get sponsor logo placement on the team uniform, we are still seeking sponsors for official team hydration (bottles) and socks (custom with your logo and ours).

-- After consistent high-place finishes in conference racing in the 2006-2007 season (overall, we were third in our division to much larger, more established teams), five of our members (Mike Githens, Chris Pickett, Alex Siegel, Jeff Trinh and Julia Liang) have represented the team at the 2007 USA Cycling Collegiate Road National Championships which were held in Lawrence, Kansas from May 11-13.  Alex Siegel, this past summer, took part in Collegiate Track Nationals in San Diego, making the team 6th in the nation in the omnium.

-- There is a limited amount of our 2006-2007 custom team clothing from this year's  team clothing order left for purchase.  If you are interested contact AJ to see if we have your type/size of clothing available.

-- The cycling team is always looking for new members.  If you are interested in racing bikes (or just riding with the team) at Georgetown, contact AJ Sikes to get the scoop.

-- Thanks to all of the team's sponsors for their support during our 2007 Spring Road Season.  Information about sponsorship is available on the Sponsors page.
