Welcome to the website of the Georgetown University Chinese Student Alliance! Founded in 1991 as China Circle, CSA has grown into an organization that not only reaches students of Chinese descent here at Georgetown, but engages the whole Georgetown community in cultural, political, and social events.
Last year, CSA had many exciting events. CSA kicked off the year with a family volleyball tournament at Yates, drawing many families and bringing others together. In the fall, Eliot Chang of Comedy Central performed for a large crowd. During APAHM in November, CSA participated in Night Market and other events alongside other Asian cultural clubs of Georgetown. The annual Chinese New Year Ball, held at Chinatown Garden, drew its most diverse crowd ever and sold out after eight hours! In March, CSA participated in multiple performances at Asiafest. The spring also included a joint bubble tea and chai study break co-hosted with SAS and a family field day.
Another exciting development that CSA made this year was the introduction of SERC, which raises money to provide scholarships for children in rural China. SERC had multiple fundraisers through the spring and hopes to grow more this year!
