In light of the recent 60th anniversary of the People's Republic of China, CSA is holding a special presentation featuring Mr. James Fallows, chief speechwriter for former President Jimmy Carter and national correspondent for the Atlantic. The evening will consist of a fascinating speech by Mr. Fallows about the past, present and future of China under the Communist Party, followed by an engaging discussion and Q&A session with the audience. Last but not least, there will be a sushi reception at the beginning of the evening, so make sure to be there promptly at 7:15 P.M. when doors open.
We hope you will all be able to join us for this wonderful, exciting and educational event!

*Welcome to Georgetown University's Chinese Student Alliance!*

Founded in 1991 as China Circle, CSA has grown into an organization that not only reaches students of Chinese descent here at Georgetown, but also engages the whole Georgetown community in cultural, political, and social events.

Last year, CSA had many exciting events. CSA kicked off the year with a family volleyball tournament at Yates, drawing many families and bringing others together. In the fall, Eliot Chang of Comedy Central performed for a large crowd. During APAHM in November, CSA participated in Night Market and other events alongside other Asian cultural clubs of Georgetown. The annual Chinese New Year Ball, held at Chinatown Garden, drew its most diverse crowd ever and sold out after eight hours! In March, CSA participated in multiple performances at Asiafest. The spring also included a joint bubble tea and chai study break co-hosted with SAS and a family field day.

Another exciting development that CSA made this year was the introduction of SERC, which raises money to provide scholarships for children in rural China. SERC had multiple fundraisers through the spring and hopes to grow more this year!
