Asian American Leaders in Education About Diversity (AALEAD)
Background:
Founded in 1998, Asian American Leaders in Education About Diversity (AALEAD) seeks to promote the well-being of Asian American youth and families through education, leadership development, and community-building. We focus on the Vietnamese, Amerasian, and Chinese immigrant and refugee communities in the Mt. Pleasant, Columbia Heights, and Shaw neighborhoods of Washington, DC.
Our Tutoring programs work to create a safe, positive and enriching environment for children to develop. The emphasis is on relationship building, community and a sense of achievement.
